The doggy personality behind the portrait

Ever been compared to your dog? Or been told by someone they can just tell they are YOUR dog? Well, research agrees.

According to a 2019 study, most pet owners' personalities go hand-in-hand with their pets. Dogs echo their owners, but they can also develop entirely unique characters. Michigan State University published research stating that just as humans develop personality traits due to life changes, this also happens in dogs.

Let's look at my favourite portraits of my dogs and the personalities behind them.

Bolt is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky.

He's a high energy breed, but he sleeps 18 hours a day. The rest of the time, he basks in the sunshine or has the "zoomies"; there is no in-between. He is exceptionally dopey and always looks lost.

He hates raw meat, loves carrots, and his favourite toy is a ball of his own fur!

Mollie, the Border Collie, is a 2-year-old nightmare!

She is intelligent, gorgeous, and sweetheart, but only when being stroked, played with or cuddled. If the spotlight isn't on her, she'll make sure you know about it!

She hates the postman, obsesses over balls, and her favourite snack is anything we've dropped on the floor.

Milo is a 3-year-old mix between Jack-Russel, Chihuahua and Yorkshire-Terrier.

If anxiety and laziness had four paws and beard, it would be Milo. He stays in bed all day and must be forced to the garden every morning. His favourite exercise is chasing birds on walks.

He loves raw vegetables and hates being told no.

Comment your pet's personality below! I'd love to hear about them.
